  • The Guffey Mountain Car Show is a unique, small-town Colorado car show featuring classic cars, hot rods, rat rods, vintage trucks, and custom builds—all set in the scenic mountain town of Guffey.

    The show takes place in downtown Guffey, Colorado, where vehicles line the loop along Main Street for a one-of-a-kind mountain car show experience.

  • Unlike traditional car shows held in parking lots or fairgrounds, the Guffey Mountain Car Show is set along a scenic mountain road with towering pines, historic buildings, and a relaxed, community atmosphere.

  • You can register in advance or sign up the day of the event (space permitting). Pre-registration by June 17th for the discounted rate of $20 or $25 at the show. Check our website or visit one of our local partner locations for registration details.

  • We welcome a wide variety of vehicles, including:

    • Classic cars

    • Muscle cars

    • Hot rods

    • Rat rods

    • Vintage trucks

    • Custom builds

  • We encourage participants to stay for the full event so attendees and judges can enjoy all vehicles, but we understand if you need to leave early.

  • Attendees vote for their favorite vehicles in each category:

    • Antique Vehicle (pre-1949),

    • Classic Car (1949-1979)

    • Modern Vehicle (1980 to present)

    • Best Truck

    • Most Unique Vehicle     

    The People’s Choice Award is given to the top-voted vehicle over-all. Awards are also given for each category (the second highest votes in the category selected for the People’s Choice Award).

  • 🏆 The People’s Choice winning vehicle will be featured on the 2027 Guffey Mountain Car Show T-shirt.

    Winning vehicles in each category will receive a unique wooden plaque hand-crafted by a local artisan, along with event recognition and bragging rights!

  • Yes! Enjoy live music throughout the event at multiple venues, along with a lively, welcoming community vibe.

  • Yes! We host a 50/50 raffle during the event. Tickets will be available for purchase on the loop. Drawings will be held at 12:00 and 2:45. Proceeds support the Guffey Community Charter School, helping give back to our local community.

  • Guffey is a small historic mountain town located in central Colorado, 1 mile up from Highway 9 on Park County Road 102. Guffey is about:

    • 2 hours from Denver

    • 1 hour from Colorado Springs

    • 1 hour from Buena Vista

    • 40 min from Cripple Creek

    • 40 min from Canon City
